We aren't process centred because we treat each client and each project uniquely (that's one of the benefits of being small), but it's useful to have an outline framework that we can use to help plan how we will work together. We call this our consulting cycle.
Engaging
Initial contact and relationship building. Trust is a key element here. Do you have confidence in our ability to help? Can we work together successfully?
Contracting
Committing to achieveing something together - we can't operate in isolation.
Sensemaking
Making sense of the current situation. Visualising where things are now before looking to the future.
Advising
Looking at options for moving forward. Quick wins versus long term goals. Balancing strategy with action.
Implementing
Staying around to help get thing done. Supporting, encouraging and adapting.
Learning
Sharing knowledge of what worked and didn't work. Embedding learning within the organisation.
