Our focus is definitely on the 'e' but we work in a myriad of ways to help businesses work smarter rather than harder. We are truly client centred and we aim to establish long term partnerships with our clients - working with them to achieve lasting improvements to the way they do things. |

Small is Beautiful
e-konsult was started by John Curran in 1999 as consultancy that really could make a difference. Like E.F. Schumacher, we definitely believe that small is beautiful. There aren't many of us but like a catalyst we can bring about real change and it won't cost you the earth. Smaller overheads, a lower cost base and sheer focus on the task in hand means that our clients really do get the best for less.
Client Centred Consulting
Our core business is client centred consulting. That means we work in partnership with our clients to advise, guide or support. We aren't all seeing and we don't have all the answers but we can pool our experience and ideas with yours and hopefully do something special together. Something that works, something that makes a difference to your business - and maybe to ours. That's special in itself.
Learn about our "Consulting Cycle"
Not a Mission Statement
Consultants are often criticised because they tell clients what to do - they are expected to have all the answers. We don't work in this way - we work with you to help uncover the underlying business issues and help look at ways of improving things. As third parties with a fresh viewpoint we can shed new light on perennial problems and help see new ways of achieving business goals. And the good news is that a little of our involvement can go a long way to helping you make big improvements. We don't have a mission statement or a set of values we can stick on the wall - our actions speak louder than words. Try us - you'll probably like us.
Smartworking
We often hear people expressing a desire to work smarter rather than harder but in practice little real attempt is made to actually achieve the switch. Paradoxically just when we should be working smarter we are all working harder. We help people get off 'the wheel' and stop and think a little - we help our clients to start Smartworking. It's not rocket science - it's actually quite simple - but you have to be ready to get the message. It's fruitless working with those who are 'too busy' (the classic symptom of a 'hardworker' rather than a 'smartworker').
Ways of Working
We try to work in new ways and help our clients do the same. That's why we practice both flexible and virtual working and try to be open to new ways of working. We try new technologies, we create new processes - we help smart people work smarter.
Powerful Learning Tools
We use a variety of tools to support us in our work. From simple conceptual models to powerful business simulations we help our clients to see things that they maybe haven't seen before.
Learning events
We develop and run a variety of workshops, seminars and courses in support of our consulting work. Part of our role as consultants is to pass on information, knowledge and learning to our clients. We also learn from our clients - that's why we aim to form long term 'learning partnerships' with them. Knowledge shared is knowledge doubled.
